Krasnodar region headed the rating of tourist attractiveness of Russian regions
Second place was taken by Moscow, the third Moscow oblast.
MOSCOW, 6 Dec. /TASS/. Krasnodar region became the leader of the National tourist rating-2017, published on 6 December. A study of tourist attractiveness of Russian regions, their tourism potential and popularity among domestic and foreign tourists, conducted by the Center for information communications “Rating” together with the magazine “Rest in Russia” for the third time.
“The leader of the rating this year became the Krasnodar territory. As already noted, the statistical data confirmed the opinions of experts — last year of 2016 was the most successful for the tourism industry of our black sea resorts. Krasnodar Krai is the undisputed leader in the number of places in hotels, by their income, the number of overnight stays of tourists,” the study says.
Moscow led the ranking last year, moved into second place. In the capital the highest number of Russian and foreign citizens, placed in hotels and catering turnover, but “low scores for the environment and crime”.
