The husband of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip handed over a driver’s license
The husband of the British Queen Elizabeth II Duke of Edinburgh Philip passed the driver’s license after the accident, in which he got in January 2019. This is stated in the statement of Buckingham Palace, reports Reuters.
“After careful consideration of the situation the Duke of Edinburgh decided to voluntarily give up their driver’s license,” the statement reads. Police have confirmed that the Prince himself surrendered their rights.
The accident involving Prince Philip took place on 17 January. The Duke himself was not injured, but minor injuries to the passenger of the car in which he crashed. In their car was also 9-month-old baby, in the accident the baby was not injured. The incident occurred near the Royal Sandringham when Prince went on the road in his Range Rover.
Two days after this accident, the Prince sat down behind the wheel, not strapped. Police spent explanatory talk about the inadmissibility of such behavior.
