“Two ships caught fire in the Kerch Strait. On one ship there was an explosion and a fire, which spread to another vessel. According to preliminary data, in total, both teams 31 people, 16 of them Turks. The ships were under the flag of Tanzania. However, perhaps the owner is a Turkish citizen. Russian rescuers sent 10 boats lead the rescue operation. We are in close contact with our Embassy in Russia and with the Russian authorities,” — said Celik reporters in Ankara.
