The designer of the United States created amazing 3D maps of the area

Despite the retro design, they look like pictures from the air.

Graphic designer from Brooklyn Scott Reinhard had spent several years collecting old topographical maps of different parts of the U.S. and with the help of a computer program turns them into 3D digital models.

To create bulk of cards he collects data on the heights to the Geological service of the USA, and then customize them under the exact location and unites with the original design on the old maps. Thus, the landscapes come alive and become like a real photo taken from a height.
