The white house has adjusted its “oil” statement trump
WASHINGTON, 1 Jul — RIA Novosti. The white house has adjusted the statement of President Donald trump that the king of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud promised him to increase oil production by 2 million barrels. As has specified a press-the Secretary of the trump Sarah Sanders, the king confirmed the possibility of use of the reserves of oil.
Previously, trump said on Twitter that the king has agreed to increase oil production to 2 million barrels.
“The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to a healthy and stable global energy market for the benefit of all countries. The leaders agreed that the balance of the world oil market is necessary to ensure access to reliable and affordable energy to people around the world,” said Sanders.
“In response to the President that the oil market there is a shortage, king Salman affirmed that the Kingdom has the opportunity of additional production volume of 2 million barrels, which it would be prudent to use if and when needed to ensure balance and stability of the market,” added Sanders.
OPEC and several non-organisation countries (OPEC+) agreed in late 2016 in Vienna on the reduction of oil production to 1.8 million barrels per day from the level of October 2016, of which 300 thousand are in Russia. The deal started from the beginning of 2017 and was extended twice, most recently until the end of 2018.
OPEC+ 23 June this year agreed on a target to get away from the over-fulfillment of the transaction. As said the energy Ministers of Russia and Saudi Arabia, in practice, this would mean increasing production by 1 million barrels per day, including Russia 200 thousand. 22 Jun trump in his Twitter urged the OPEC countries to significantly increase oil production to curb prices.
