Dubious method, but it works.
I’m sure many remember, as a child to pull a loose tooth, parents tied his thread to the door and then abruptly opened it. Seems to understand that “something is wrong”, but do not have time to react. But because it turns out the procedure is quick and painless.
But one Vietnamese dad decided to go ahead and tie “unnecessary” tooth of his son to the arrow crossbow. See for yourself.
