The defense Ministry has blamed Israel for missile strike on an air base in Syria
Moscow. April 9. INTERFAX.RU — a Missile strike on Syria and its government airbase struck the Israeli aircraft, said Monday the defense Ministry.
“On April 9 from 3:25 to 3:53 (Moscow time) two F-15 Israeli air force, without entering the airspace of Syria, from Lebanon struck eight guided missiles at the airfield, Tifor,” — said the Russian defense Ministry.
It noted that the defense forces of Syria have managed to destroy five of the eight missiles, and the remaining three rockets reached the Western part of the airfield. “Among the Russian advisers in Syria there were no injuries,” — said in the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation.
Last night, the official Syrian news Agency SANA reported that the airbase in the province of HOMS came under fire several rockets. According to pan-Arab satellite channel “al-Mayadin” missiles from the Mediterranean sea flew toward Syria over Lebanese territory.
