Experts told where the Russians go for the holidays and how much it costs
MOSCOW, 16 Feb — RIA Novosti. Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Paris topped the ranking of the most popular destinations for Russian tourists on holidays in February and March, according to Ostrovok.ru.
Analysts of the online service studied all reservation travelers in the period from 21 to 26 February and from 7 to 12th of March 2019 and has identified the most popular routes.
The visits to the two capitals of Russia, and tours to Paris, Rome, Istanbul and Prague — the leaders of the list. The top ten also included Vienna, Barcelona, Sochi and Dubai.
Demand for Asian destinations is reduced, as the tourist season ends. These countries are interesting for those who prefer to buy tour from travel agencies.
A noticeable trend in 2019 — a reduction of dates, and the average duration of the booking. Abroad average duration of stay of the Russians will be five days, a day less than last year. Because the average booking value decreased by 17% to 29 900 rubles.
Of Russian tourists spend on average four days. Because of inflation and rising cost of utilities during the year the average bill increased by 24%, to 14 400 rubles.
