FT announced the imminent introduction of sanctions against Russia for the incident in the Kerch Strait

The U.S. and EU are close to agree on sanctions against Russia in response to the incident with the detention of Ukrainian seafarers and ships in the Kerch Strait, said on Tuesday the Financial Times newspaper, citing diplomatic sources.
It is noted that this issue should be discussed on 18 February the foreign Ministers of the European Union. The restrictive measures, according to the interlocutor of the newspaper, can be introduced within the next two months.
One of the sources said that sanctions are expected to be taken against “individuals and companies” of direct relevance to the incident with the Ukrainian ships.
