Ministry of education: a textbook on Economics was excluded from the Federal list because of errors

MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. A textbook on Economics, edited by Igor Lipsita were excluded from the Federal list of textbooks due to errors, typographical errors and a number of other comments. On Wednesday reported the press service of the Ministry of education of the Russian Federation.

Previously, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that the Economics textbook for 10-11th grade by Igor Lipsita was excluded from the list of recommended textbooks. According to the newspaper, the author was advised to edit the tutorial so that it has contributed to the education of patriotism. In particular, it is recommended to add materials about import substitution and plans for achieving economic breakthrough.

The press service of the Ministry of education of the Russian Federation recalled that in the past year by the decision of the scientific-methodical Council, the textbooks underwent additional examination:

According to the results of the examination of more than 200 subject lines of textbooks were excluded from the Federal list. Every negative review contained no less than seven valid claims to the textbook, including outdated information, errors and incorrect data. Among these books was a textbook “Economics. According to the Ministry, the textbook in particular “was not accompanied by an electronic form, a methodical Handbook for teachers, in circumvention of the requirements of the textbooks of the Federal list contained errors and omissions, and a number of other comments mentioned by the experts”.

At the end of last year the Minister of education of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva adopted the Federal list of textbooks, which was reduced to 1 thousand 370 to 863 items. The new list includes the editions that had additional expertise and received a positive expert opinion. To conduct the supplementary examination were involved in more than 290 experts, including the honored teacher, laureates of the competitions of pedagogical, research workers and also certified experts of the Russian Academy of education.
