Scientists told about the benefits of daily use of aspirin
Daily intake of aspirin can increase the survival rate of cancer patients on average by 78%, said scientists from the University of California in San Francisco.
According to their study, published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine, aspirin has a positive effect on the life expectancy of cancer patients with mutated PIK3CA gene.
The researchers analyzed data of 266 patients with five-year survival for cancer in the head and neck.
To determine whether nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs on the life expectancy of cancer patients, scientists daily for six months was given to all the participants of the experiment, the dose of aspirin.
75 volunteers with the mutated PIK3CA gene, the probability of five-year survival rate increased from 25% to 78%.
While aspirin did not change the condition of patients who have PIK3CA was unchanged.
Earlier on January 27 it was reported that American scientists have found several types of tea, is able to inhibit the development of cancer.
