The head of the Main Department of internal Affairs to combat extremism Timur Valiulin dismissed. It is reported TASS citing a source in law enforcement bodies. According to him, the corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The wording is not specified.
Also, the officials of the TASS and “Interfax” reported on the resignation at own request of the head of the Main Directorate for migration, Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia Olga Kirillova. The corresponding presidential decree, according to them, was signed in December.
Valiulin was appointed head of the Main Department for combating extremism of the MIA of Russia in 2012 from a similar position at Moscow. Kirillov also came to the position of head of the migration control of the interior Ministry of the capital level in 2016.
