Suspect in spying American hunted for list of special services

The suspect American Paul Nicholas Whelan was detained red-handed when receiving from the citizen of the Russian media with information constituting a state secret. This was reported by “Rosbalt”.

Transfer of vehicle took place in a hotel room that Whelan removed in the Moscow hotel “Metropol”. On the media contained confidential list of persons in which, in particular, was part of intelligence officers. A few minutes after transmission in the Whelan room there were representatives of the FSB, who withdrew transferred to him flash card with the list of the detained American.

It is reported that Whelan about ten years ago began to register on visited by the citizens of Russia Internet resources. According to the Russian intelligence services, some of net friends of an American in Russia was evaluated and selected by us intelligence agencies for the development as having access to confidential information.
