Forever changed the Earth removed from the height of bird flight
This is a new project of the famous photographer from Canada, shooting industrial landscapes.

Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky submitted a new draft, which showed the influence of human activities on nature.
Mining, pollution of water by phosphates, piles of garbage and plastic — all these scars post-industrial world on the body of the Earth, says the photographer.

Burtynsky often shoots from a helicopter, sometimes it uses satellite images. “People can go to a landfill and think there’s nothing to remove. But there is footage, you only need to go there and find them,” he adds.
For his new project Burtynsky visited 20 countries over 5 years. Its fascinating and frightening images published in the book “the Anthropocene”. This term informally to denote the geological era in which human activity plays a significant role in the ecosystem of the Earth.

Burtynsky was born in 1955 in a family of immigrants from Eastern Europe. He became famous through images of industrial landscapes. The work of photographer are stored in more than 50 museums around the world.
