Moscow. 27 Nov. INTERFAX.RU IN Kaliningrad unknown persons poured paint over a monument to the philosopher Immanuel Kant mounted at the walls of the Baltic Federal University (BFU).

As reported “Interfax” the press service of the University, the vandalism was discovered on Tuesday morning.
“Unknown poured paint over a monument to Immanuel Kant stands at one of the buildings of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University named Kant on the University street. To the place called the police, which has already begun to clarify the circumstances of this incident. The monument is on balance of the city”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
According to him, also specialists that will determine the composition of the paint and give recommendations on how best to clean the monument.
The press service said that around the monument scattered leaflets with an appeal to students to disrupt the plaques, bearing the “name of enemy”.
The name of the philosopher Kant is in competition for naming the Kaliningrad airport “Hrabrovo”. It has long been the leader, but is currently inferior to the name of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna.
Some state Duma deputies believe that the name of the philosopher should not participate in the competition on the basis of the competition regulations.
