TASS-DOSSIER // August 4, the President of Venezuela was an attempt of assassination by drone bombs.
August 4, 2018 in Caracas for Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was an attempted assassination by a drone Laden with explosives. They were powered during the President’s speech at the ceremony in honor of the 81st anniversary of the Bolivarian National guard. Seven law enforcement officers were injured. Maduro himself was not injured.
Attempts to physically eliminate Latin American presidents were undertaken and earlier. The greatest number of attacks experienced by the leader of the Cuban revolution Fidel Castro 638, in connection with which he was included in the Guinness Book of records.

Venezuela
In June 2009, according to intelligence, the ultra-right groups were planning to assassinate the President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez (1999-2013). It had to be carried out in the course of his visit to El Salvador.
1 Aug 2013 the Minister of internal Affairs of Venezuela Miguel Rodriguez revealed information about preparation of attempt at life of President Nicolas Maduro. “The plan was that the sniper kills the President, and then made an attack on political and military targets”, the Minister said in a media interview.
According to him, assistance in the development of this plan had a “radical right-wing forces” of Venezuela, led by the Cuban counterrevolutionary Luis Posada Carriles, resident in USA (in 1976, Carriles was accused of planning an explosion aboard a passenger plane of Cuban airline Cubana de Aviacion, a flight from Caracas to Havana, the attack killed 73 people).
