“The criminal case against the former investigator initiated,” — said the Agency interlocutor, without specifying that the article, which investigated the case.
As reported, the investigator resigned in November 2017.
“Interfax” does not yet have official review of the investigating authorities.
“Novaya Gazeta” on 20 July, posted a video of the torture of a prisoner Makarova, of which 18 employees of a colony for a long time beaten with fists and batons. The incident occurred in the summer of 2017. The publication caused a public outcry. The Central office of the Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case about excess of powers of office with application of violence.
Just in case arrested seven officers of IK-1. Another suspect — Deputy head of the colony for educational work Ivan Kalashnikov — sent under house arrest.
