Putin: 2018 world Cup neutralized nearly 25 million cyber attacks
According to the President, the security of the championship was attended by nearly 130 representatives of law enforcement agencies in 34 countries.
MOSCOW, July 16. /TASS/. Nearly 25 million cyber-attacks and other effects on the information infrastructure of the Russian Federation, associated with soccer world Cup, was neutralized in the period of the championship. This was stated on Sunday evening the President of Russia Vladimir Putin at a meeting with representatives of the Center for international cooperation of the Interagency operational headquarters for the security of the 2018 world Cup.
In the period of the world championship neutralized nearly 25 million cyber-attacks and other criminal impacts on information infrastructure of Russia, or otherwise in connection with the holding of the world Cup.Mr Putinprime of the Russian Federation
Nearly 130 representatives of intelligence agencies from 34 countries took part in securing the world Cup, the President added.

“I want to thank employees of the Russian special services and law enforcement agencies, and, of course, representatives of law enforcement bodies and special services from more than 30 countries in the world. As the head of the state, more than 2 million people and nearly 200 infrastructure was audited in preparation for the world Cup in Russia.
“In preparation for the world Cup tested more than 2 million people involved in the construction and preparation of objects, the organization of the tournament, volunteers, other categories of people. Conducted more than 400 inspections 194 infrastructure on the subject of radiation, chemical, biological, explosive situation”, — said Putin.
