The head of “Rosneft” said the reasons for the growth in gasoline prices
KRASNOYARSK, may 21 — RIA Novosti. The head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin has identified three main factors that caused a rise in fuel prices.
The first reason he called the devaluation of the ruble.
“If you have the dollar was worth 30 rubles, now — 64. The company is not able to do anything, so this factor was not, it already exists”, — he said in a speech at the annual General meeting of shareholders of the company.
The second factor, he said, was the rise in world oil prices, which since the end of last year rose about 25%. Russian companies also deliver oil for export and to refineries within the country.
And add to this the increase in transportation costs, energy and you will see that the cost of processing increased significantly.Igor Sechin
The third reason is the unattractiveness of processing in the country: oil refining is forced to take on costs to keep prices down in the retail sector.
“Thus, processing becomes unattractive and the load are forced to take,” he said.
The increase in fuel prices
Recently in Russia has sharply increased the prices of petroleum products.
In may and early June, retail gasoline prices have exceeded the levels 41, 42 and 43 rubles per liter.
Against this background, the government adopted a decision to reduce the excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel, and agreed with major oil companies that they will fix the retail prices 30 may.
In early June, the Ministry of Finance proposed to give the Cabinet the right to raise export duties on gasoline, diesel fuel and kerosene up to 90% from the duty on oil, in particular if the company should violate the commitment to freeze prices.
