VTSIOM: the majority of Russians have not felt the impact of Western sanctions
Two-thirds of participants in the opinion poll (67%) did not feel the impact of Western sanctions on the financial situation of their families. The negative effects noticed in 24%, and in group of respondents with low, according to their estimates, financial position figure is higher — 36%.
34% of Russians believe that Western sanctions have had a positive effect on the Russian economy, 30% hold the opposite opinion. 20% did not notice any effect. Among the positive consequences the respondents most often referred to economic development (50%) and import substitution (20%), negative growth of prices and taxes (22%).
The majority of respondents (73%) were in favour of continuation of the tough foreign policy without regard to sanctions. Concessions ready 17%.
The survey was conducted on June 10-11 by telephone interviews.
