The Russian foreign Ministry warned about the consequences of the allocation of US funds, “White helmets”
Moscow. June 20. INTERFAX.RU IN Moscow believe that the allocation of U.S. funding, “White helmets” in Syria followed by new provocations with use of chemical weapons, said the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“For a new round of financial support for these enormous by the standards of what is happening in the region and the needs experienced by the civilian population, enormous financial investments, in this new round, we expect the regular stuffing of the use by the Syrian government of chemical weapons against civilians,” — said Zakharov at a briefing in Samara.
“It’s just paid for a custom activity, and, of course, we are receiving signals that such provocations are prepared and of course we let them, if it receives reliable information, to speak in advance with point of view in order to prevent such actions”, — said Zakharov.
June 14, the U.S. state Department announced that Washington will allocate $6.6 million in funding organization “White helmets” and the UN in Syria. The state Department noted that it strongly supports the “White helmets”, “who saved more than 100 thousand lives since the conflict began”.
White helmets are positioning themselves volunteer humanitarian structure, providing assistance in Syria. Russia has repeatedly expose the activities of “White helmets”. So Moscow stresses that the organization is actively involved in the staging of stories about alleged instances of using the Syrian regime of chemical weapons.
