The owner of the sunken catamaran Dmitry Hachalav was engaged in the hotel business, was the co-owner of OOO “Rumynskie spaces”. In 2009, he was convicted of the attempted rape of a civilian wife of his friend, firing his gun at the leisure of the camp and the beating of the police officer. The court sentenced him to four years in a General regime colony.
The dry-cargo ship “Captain Vecherkin” belongs to Nizhny Novgorod JSC “Volga-fleet”. None of the JSC “Volga-fleet” numbers “b” is not answered.
