Putin released payments in connection with the birth of a child from personal income tax

MOSCOW, 23 APR — RIA Novosti. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the law on exemption from tax on income of physical persons (personal income tax) monthly payments to citizens in connection with the birth or adoption of the first and second child, the relevant document published on the website garant.ru.

From 1 January 2018 in Russia put the monthly payments to families in connection with the birth or adoption of their first child and monthly payments from the funds of the parent capital in connection with the birth or adoption of a second child.

Payment shall be made in the size of the subsistence minimum for children, established in the subject of the Russian Federation for the second quarter of the year preceding the year of application for its purpose. Since this state has a social nature, the law exempts these payments from income tax.

The law comes into force from the day of its publication — on April 23.
