Rogozin called for an end to “brain drain” from Russia

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin called for the adoption of measures to prevent brain drain, including from the Russian defense industry.

“In any case not to give the solutions that are produced in our country, scientists of the other world. It is essential that the results of intellectual activity remained in the country. We have this weak spot,” — said Rogozin on Tuesday at the scientific-practical conference in the Moscow state University.

He explained that “we are investing a lot of money in the training of talents, and then, not allowing our professionals, smart, intelligent, literate, the best the young people of Russia to implement, to realize what they have in mind, thereby opening the floodgates to wash this potential abroad.”

According to him, the creation of a network of research centres is a step towards the possibility of practical realization of ideas in the field of national defense and security of the country.

“If a big country, confident in its future, does not see his prospects for the next 50 years, so she is blind. We need to see what will happen after 2027, 2030 — what prospects we have of bringing about a technical response to the threats, the challenges for our civilization, for a period of 15-20-30 years”, — said Rogozin.
