Moscow has experienced the coldest night of the year
The coldest night this year experienced Moscow and the Moscow region. As reported TASS with reference to the Federal hydrometeorological center, in the capital, the thermometer fell to the level of 18.4.

It was much colder in the suburbs. Record minus fixed in Shatura district: city settlement Cherusti hit the cold of 29.6 degrees. Before that in the Metropolitan area the coldest day of the year was considered on 8 February, when cold to a minus of 16.8.
Note that weather records are likely still ahead. Frost due to cold Arctic air will not go from Central Russia before February 28.
