Two Deputy Prime Minister and acting head of the government of Dagestan detained by FSB
In Dagestan, the FSB arrested the two Vice-premiers of the government of the Republic Shamil Isaev and Rudina Yusufov, as well as acting Chairman of the government of Abdusamad Hamidov. In the homes of the detained officials are searched, the reasons of operational activities are not specified. A week ago to Dagestan there has arrived the Commission of the Prosecutor General to check the observance of laws in the region.
In the Republic of Dagestan detained the acting Chairman of the government of the region Abdusamad Hamidov, as well as two Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Rudin Yusufov and Shamil Isaev. The detained officials is delivered in regional Department of the FSB of Russia.
In the homes and workplaces of the detained politicians, the security forces carried out searches. Causes of operational activities against Hamidov, Isayev and Yusufov were not disclosed.
A week earlier, the Russian Prosecutor General’s office gave an official confirmation about the arrival in Dagestan of the special Commission for check of observance of laws in the Republic. According to RBC, from Moscow to Makhachkala came to the investigators from the Prosecutor General, the Central apparatus of the interior Ministry and the FSB. They collect the evidence base in relation to regional officials, representatives of the regional interior Ministry and Prosecutor’s office.
A source in the Ministry told the newspaper that for a long time in the law enforcement bodies received information about facts of corruption, abuse of official authority and bribery in the region.
These appeals were a reason for carrying out inspections and the work of the Commission.
On Friday, February 2, against the chief architect of Makhachkala Magomedrasul Gitinov opened a criminal case on suspicion in excess of powers of office, he was detained by militiamen. Friday morning at his home also were searched.
