The case of “the cow with GPS” Ural farmer was returned for further investigation
Moscow. January 12. INTERFAX.RU Prosecutor Lebyazhievsky area returned to the investigating authorities, the criminal case of the farmer of the Kurgan region Evgeny Vasilyev, who buys GPS tracker for cows.
“The criminal case was transferred to us from the Prosecutor’s office, it is in the investigative bodies Lebyazhievsky district, there is a preliminary investigation of the criminal case”, — said the Agency “Interfax” the press-service of investigatory management SKR across the Kurgan region.
In turn Vasiliev knows nothing about the investigation.
“I don’t know what is currently happening with my criminal case, investigating whether it is still in the Prosecutor’s office or somewhere passed,” — said Vasilyev.
He was charged under article 138.1 of the criminal code (illegal acquisition of special technical means intended for secret receipt of information).
At the first meeting Lebyazhievsky district court in this case on 14 December, the Prosecutor asked to return the materials to the Prosecutor for further investigation. This motion the court granted.
The issue of criminal prosecution of a farmer was asked at the big press conference of Russian President Vladimir Putin in December.

After that, the Russian Prosecutor General’s office started an extensive investigation of all criminal cases under article 138.1 of the criminal code.
“At the initiative of the Agency this test was started all over Russia. We study whether there are excesses in the regions with the application of this rule,” — said the official representative of Department Alexander Kurennoy.
According to him, the test cases which are in manufacture of the investigator, may take from several weeks to several months. Results will be announced in 2018.
