Donald trump began his Asian tour with Japan
Donald trump arrived in Japan within a 12-day Asian tour. This will be the longest trip to Asia the President of the United States over the past 25 years.
The tour takes place in a period of high tensions with North Korea. It is expected that trump would support South Korea and Japan and urged China to take a tougher stance in relations with Pyongyang.
In the plane the US President told reporters he expects to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the trip. “I think a meeting is planned with Putin. We want Putin’s help on North Korea,” he explained.
President trump arrived at an American military base in Yokota, West of Tokyo on Sunday morning. Speaking before the American military, he said: “no one, no dictator, no regime.. should not underestimate the resolve of Americans.”
Later on Sunday, trump needs to meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe over lunch, and then the two leaders intend to play Golf.
