The penalty for fakes
The updated version of the proposed part of article of the code of administrative offences (Cao) it is planned to establish the penalty for the dissemination in the media and on the Internet under the guise of reliable reports “knowingly false public information, creating a threat of harm to the life or health of citizens, property, the threat of mass violations of public order or public safety or interference with the operation or cessation of vital infrastructure, transport or social infrastructure, communications, energy, industry, credit institutions (if these actions do not contain criminal offence)”.
Citizens will face a fine in the amount from 30 thousand to 100 thousand rubles (in the original version was from 3 thousand to 5 thousand roubles), for officials — from 60 thousand to 200 thousand rubles (previously offered from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles), for legal entities — from 200 thousand to 500 thousand roubles (was from 400 thousand to 1 million rubles) with possible confiscation of the subject of an administrative offense.
Thus, compared with the first reading of the text can be further spelled out the responsibility for fakes, which could have a negative impact on the banks.
While parliamentarians consider it necessary to Supplement the administrative code two compositions of a similar offence with maximum fines to 1.5 million roubles.NewsTo isolate the Internet in Russia, want to spend 20 billion rubles. Why? This “new iron curtain”?
So, if false information will directly lead to “interference with the functioning of vital infrastructure, transport or social infrastructure, communications, energy, industry, credit institutions”, as well as repeated violation of the preceding paragraph, the administrative code provides penalties for citizens in the amount from 100 thousand to 300 thousand roubles, for officials — from 300 thousand to 600 thousand rubles, for legal entities — from 500 thousand to 1 million roubles with possible confiscation of the subject of the offence.

Therefore, if on first reading it was only the threat of negative consequences of the publication of fakes, the amendments stipulate specific cases of their occurrence, including the most dramatic situation.
“These actions are very dangerous not only for the state and for society, but for a specific person,” — said on Wednesday, TASS one of the authors of the amendments, United Russia Anatoly Election, noting that “the ability to handle stress everyone is different”. “Because the consequences can be unpredictable, false information can create havoc and panic in the society,” he said.
Dissemination of false news can lead to the reaction of law enforcement, emergency, health care structures, even commercial organizations, including banks: “all react to such messages, because the consequences can be very disastrous,” he said. “If you’ve had negative implications for transport infrastructure and energy sectors, it is difficult even to assume what it may lead,” he said.
