The court arrested the defendants in the case about the theft of gas to 30 billion rubles
Basmanny court of Moscow arrested until March 30, Advisor to the General Director “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz” Raul Arashukov the father of the Senator from Karachay-Cherkessia Rauf Arashukov, on the eve of a prisoner in custody for two months, reports “Interfax”. Earlier the court arrested four of the defendants in the criminal case of theft of gas from “Gazprom” for a total sum more than 30 billion rubles.
We are talking about the Director of the branch of OOO “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol” Guzer Hasukawa, the Director General of JSC “Gazprom gazoraspredelenie Astrakhan and OOO Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Astrakhan” Ruslan Arashukova, Deputy General Director of JSC “Gazprom gazoraspredeleniye Stavropol” Nicholas Romanov and General Director of OOO “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol” Igor Trainova. Against them investigated the case under article 210.3 of the criminal code (creation of criminal community with use of his official position) and article 159.4 of the criminal code (fraud).
In court none of the defendants in the case pleaded not guilty. “My client provide pressure in order to he pleaded guilty of the alleged crimes,” — said during the meeting the lawyer Arashukova senior.
Himself Raul Arashukov told the court that he had not committed any crimes and “especially was no leader” of the criminal group. “It’s all due to the fact that the President of the Russian Federation in November has set the task to bring order to the Caucasus, to deal with the theft in Dagestan. And there would have to start from Dagestan and restore order there. And they started with the easiest — son somewhat suspect, but I got to do with it?”, — surprised in court Arashukov senior.
Raul Arashukov was arrested the day of the arrest of his son Rauf, January 30. Arashukov Sr. from 2002, he worked in the subsidiaries of “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz” in Stavropol region in 2010, headed “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Pyatigorsk”, since 2012 was Advisor to the General Director “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz” (the parent company that ensures the supply of gas to Russian consumers). “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Pyatigorsk” is a subsidiary of “Gazprom Mezhregiongaz” which, until 2017, was engaged in the supply of gas to consumers in Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan, Ingushetia and North Ossetia.
According to the investigation, Arashukov Sr. “was instrumental in the appointment of relatives and friends for various positions” in the company, responsible for gas sales in the region. Those, in turn, entered into agreement to supply businesses in the North Caucasian Federal district, “a greater volume of gas than was necessary for the needs of consumers.”
