Historical Museum is missing the icon “mother of God Shuiskaya-Smolensk”
Moscow. 24 Jan. INTERFAX.RU Icon “mother of God Shuiskaya-Smolensk” has been missing from the Depository of the State historical Museum, conducted the test, reported “Interfax” informed source.
“The statement came on Wednesday from the security of the Museum. Arriving law enforcement officers found that the icon was exhibited in December, as it is not in the repository”, — said the Agency interlocutor.
The responsible person are unable to explain the lack of icons in the repository, the source added. Started checking.
“Interfax” has no comments of the Museum and law enforcement for this reason.
As reported on the website of the Museum, written in Vologda the icon dates from the second half of the XVI century.
