Streaming service Netflix is going to start shooting a spin-off series “house of cards”.
The main character of the show will be Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), head of administration under President Frank Underwood.
Douglas Stamper is one of the most interesting, deep and ambiguous characters. Outwardly calm, cold and calculating, Doug considers himself to be the right hand man of Frank and endlessly devoted to him. He is ready to protect and serve his President no matter what, and sacrificing his own career and safety. In one episode he even gave Underwood his liver, when he is in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound.
It is known that the writers also consider several variants of the launch of the spin-off associated with one of the minor characters of the series.
