WASHINGTON, January 25. /TASS/. The white house and the U.S. Congress agreed on a short-term resumption of full funding for the activities of the Federal government. This was announced by the President of the United States Donald trump, speaking on Friday in the Rose garden of the White house.
“I am very pleased to announce today that we have agreed,” — said the us leader, speaking about the dialogue between the Executive and legislative branches of government, aimed at settlement of the budget crisis.
“Soon I’ll sign a bill that will allow the resumption of the work of our government for three weeks, until 15 February,” he said. “I ask the leader of the Republican majority in the Senate Mitch McConnell to immediately submit for consideration of this proposal,” added trump.
While trump threatened to impose on 15 February the state of emergency on the border with Mexico, if Democrats will not agree to funding the construction of the wall.
“Let me say quite clearly: we really have no choice but to build a strong wall or install a steel barrier. If Congress does not come to a fair deal, February 15, will be suspended or re-financing the work of the government, or I will use the powers that I have in accordance with [national] laws and Constitution of the United States to resolve the emergency. We will achieve the strengthening of security”, — said the head of the White house.
The work of the U.S. government partially suspended since December 22 due to the lack of budget funds. This happened due to the fact that the Republicans and Democrats in Congress failed to agree on budget parameters, which trump wants to include funds for the construction of the barrier on the border with Mexico.
