Where is the city belonging to two countries at the same time
One house and two zip.
In Switzerland, in the district of Constance, has an amazing town called Busingen am hochrein. The size is more of a village, with a population of about 1500 people.

But the most remarkable thing about this place is that Busingen am hochrein, although located in Switzerland, is officially a part of Germany.

In 1918 after the First World war, the town held a referendum in which 96% voted in favor of joining Switzerland. However, this has not happened due to the fact that Switzerland are unable to provide equivalent areas for exchange. After that, the issue of accession has been brought up several times, but the story was never continued.

Now Busingen am hochrein administratively belongs to Germany, and economically to Switzerland. The locals use both German and Swiss telephone numbers, there are also two equal zip code.
The official currency here is the Euro, but almost all use the Swiss franc (most of the locals get paid in Switzerland).

In Busingen am hochrein has a primary school, after which children can choose where they want to study further in Germany or Switzerland. And football club “Busingen” is the only German team to have played in the championship of Switzerland.
