In the French village of Plougrescant in Brittany is an amazing estate, which is a kind of hallmark of the region. Miniature castle Castel Meur, also known as La Maison du Gouffre (“the House between the rocks”), has for many years attracts many tourists. This is not surprising.

Built in 1861 on a small Peninsula castle was successfully entered between two cliffs that protect it from severe storms often raging on this coast.

The first owner of the estate lived here for many years, and after his death the house was inherited by relatives. Now the castle belongs to the granddaughter of the original owner who has lived here since 2004.

Earlier inside the castle were allowed visitors, but after a group of Japanese during a photo shoot has damaged the ceiling on the roof, the owner of the building has ensured that the court found Castel Meur of private property. Despite the fact that to get inside anymore, many tourists still come here just to admire the picturesque little castle in the rocks.
