On Monday evening, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in connection with the incident in the Kerch Strait has approved the introduction 30 days in some areas of the country martial law, declared by the decree of the President of Petro Poroshenko.
As reported previously in the center of public relations of FSB of the Russian Federation, on the morning of 25 November, three ships of the Navy Ukraine “Berdyansk”, “Nikopol” and “Yana Kapu” crossed the state border of the Russian Federation and “wrongfully went to the temporarily closed waters of the territorial sea of the Russian Federation”. The evening of the same day the Ukrainian ships “has made another attempt of illegal actions within the territorial sea of the Russian Federation”.
“The legitimate demands of accompanying ships and boats of the border service of FSB of the Russian Federation and the Russian black sea fleet on an immediate halt didn’t respond, made a dangerous maneuver”, — noted in TSOs FSB.
“For the purpose of forced stop Ukrainian military vehicles used weapons” — said the DSP FSB, adding that all three ships of the Ukrainian Navy, was detained “in the territorial waters of the Russian Federation in the Black sea”, and “for violation of the state border of the Russian Federation initiated a criminal case.”
The Ukrainian Navy announced on Facebook that the Russian coast of the posts and ports in the Kerch Strait has been notified of the intention to pass a group of vessels on the Kerch-Yenikalsky channel during the night of 25 November. “03.58 25.11.2018 small armored gunboat naval forces of Ukraine “Berdyansk” for the purpose of compliance with international standards of safety of navigation associated with the coastal post PS FSB of the Russian Federation, the seaports of Kerch and the Caucasus, and announced the intention of the passage through the Kerch Strait. The information was obtained, but the answer isn’t provided”, — said the representatives of the Ukrainian Navy.
