The deception was exposed, and the photographer was disqualified.

Photographer Marcio Cabral who at the end of 2017 was one of the winners of the prestigious contest Wildlife Photographer of the Year, suddenly transformed from a hero into a laughingstock.

The competition jury announced the disqualification Cabral for fraud. As it turned out, the night with the anteater, who is a photographer did in the Brazilian national Park of EMAS, is not what it seems.

A few months later it turned out that the anteater in the photo is not living — this is a guy that stands at the entrance to the reserve. The competition organizers have spent a lot of time studying the picture and asked the photographer to send them footage of other animal that, according to the man, “accidentally got in the shot”.
