The artist has created a mural out of plastic that he collected a year
The British decided to combine art with a social experiment. And it’s really impressive.
Daniel Webb from the British town of Margate for a year collecting plastic which is used in everyday life: bags, cups of yogurt, plastic bottles, labels from clothing, toothbrushes and more. The collection of plastic waste, the artist began January 1, 2017, after making a morning run along the coast, he saw piles of garbage floating in the water along with the algae.
Then Webb decided to conduct a personal experiment to see how much plastic waste in the result for the year per person. Until January 1, 2018 this is not the processed garbage has gathered a huge bag 22.
However, there was a question about what to do with all these wastes and the decision came easy — to make it into instructive art. Daniel came up with a project called Everyday Plastic (“Daily plastic”).
If the helper is a photographer Ollie Harrop he captured all the accumulated garbage in the photo. Now the “employee’s” of plastic waste the Webb emblazoned on a huge Billboard from the entrance to the local amusement Park, Dreamland.
Thus, the artist hopes to draw attention to the theme of recycling and to promote eco-culture of modern society.
