The interior Ministry said about spring attack near a Moscow metro station

The Minister of internal Affairs of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev told the newspaper “Izvestia” averted in the spring of 2017 terrorist attack at one of the stations of the Moscow metro.

“This spring in Khimki our employees were detained a native of Kyrgyzstan, who was recruited into the “Islamic state” (ISIS, a terrorist organization banned in Russia) and parallel to the planned Commission of a terrorist act with the use of the car “KAMAZ” near one of the metro stations in the North of Moscow”, — he said.

The detainee is in custody, the investigation is ongoing, said Kolokoltsev.

The head of the interior Ministry stressed that the Russian police are investigating the foreign experience of fighting a new kind of terrorism in which attacks on people used car or a knife.

“We are making every effort, used all means available in our Arsenal to prevent such attacks. Indeed, such techniques are already widespread in Europe and Israel. We extract lessons from the incident”, — said Kolokoltsev.

On 3 April in the subway of St. Petersburg on the stretch between the stations “Institute of Technology” and “Sennaya Ploschad” there was an explosion, which killed 15 people and an alleged suicide bomber. According to the investigation, he took the subway two explosive devices in fire extinguishers. One of them found on the “Vosstaniya Square” and the other he brought into action.
