Alexei Navalny
Opposition leader Alexei Navalny did not attend several concerted meetings, what action was not performed. This was reported on Friday, November 3, on the website of the MIA of Russia.
The Department indicated that the police and Regardie have to take additional measures to ensure law and order and public safety for such events. This, in turn, will entail additional burden on the personnel and budget expenditures, the report underlines.
As noted, the public event was coordinated in Yakutsk, Kirov, Cheboksary, Petrozavodsk, Bryansk, but “ultimately not held due to lack of A. Navalny.” The interior Ministry added that the organizers of meetings “do not bother to inform about the rejection of the event either do it at the last moment.”
22 Oct Navalny was released from Moscow detention center after serving 20 days of administrative detention for repeated violation of rules for holding rallies. After his release, he met with supporters in Astrakhan, Ivanovo, Kursk, and also on a private site in Tambov.
