The suspect in the terrorist attack in new York left a note on actions “in the name of ISIS”

Moscow. 1 Nov. INTERFAX.RU — the Suspect in the terrorist attack in new York was left in the truck on which he had run at people, note, which refers to carrying out attacks on behalf of “Islamic state” (ISIS banned in Russia), said CNN senior representative of law enforcement bodies.

“Law enforcement authorities found a note in the truck in which the suspect stated that he did it in the name of ISIS,” he said.

According to a source, the note was in English.

As reported, on Tuesday in lower Manhattan the man in the car drove a few blocks in the bike lane, knocking down cyclists and pedestrians, then crashed into a school bus and another vehicle, then was shot and arrested by police.

Media reported that the FBI considers the incident as a terrorist attack. The mayor of new York bill de Blasio also called the incident a terrorist attack and announced that as a result eight people died, more than 12 injured.

According to police, 11 people received “serious injuries, but not life-threatening”. The representative of fire service of new York announced that six people died on the spot and two died in hospital.

According to media reports, the suspect in the attack is 29-year-old native of Uzbekistan, Saipov Saifulla living in the United States since 2010.
