Japan made submission to US over residential fuel dump
Tokyo made submission to Washington over an F-16 jet fuel dump from the American F-16 fighter near the residential areas of the country. This was stated by the secretary general of the Japanese government, Hirokazu Matsuno, RIA Novosti reports. “Yesterday, an American F-16 fighter assigned to the Misawa base, as a result of some failures, made an emergency landing at the Aomori airport,” the politician said. According to him, the plane dropped two fuel tanks to complete the landing. The secretary general urged Washington to investigate the causes of the incident in order to prevent its recurrence. Matsuno noted that one of the tanks was found in the area of the Fukaura village, and the second was still not found. He stressed that there was no information about the victims. “Such incidents cause concern among the local population and should not take place,” said the secretary general of the Cabinet.
