Moscow. April 10. INTERFAX.RU — Rospotrebnadzor Experts to develop the hygienic standard level of scent to reduce the number of complaints from citizens, said the head of the Agency, chief sanitary doctor of Russia Anna Popova.
“We respond to all requests and find out the causes and closing them and putting them in order with the owner (of the object — if). Sometimes it happens that such violations cannot be immediately remedied. In order to bring even more order, we are currently developing a normative act which would be normalized smells,” — said Popov on the TV channel “Russia-24” (VGTRK).
Thus, she commented on the large number of citizens ‘ complaints of unpleasant odors, particularly from the landfill.
According to her, today there are devices, though not domestic production, to measure the level of odors.
“In order for us to be able to use them, our scientific institutions to develop the hygienic standard for the definition and the level of smell in the air, in order to protect our citizens and this annoying factor, too,” — said the chief sanitary doctor.
She added that “neither the source of the odor should not remain so, it should not be, this should not worry people is very important.”
However, Popov said that people feel smells “in concentrations three orders of magnitude smaller than the norm, which is defined and which is harmful to humans.” However, this annoying factor to influence a person must not, she said.
