In Turkey, detained a suspect of involvement in the murder of Charles
ANKARA, 5 APR — RIA Novosti. Turkish authorities detained a former employee of the Department of information technology and communications on suspicion of involvement in the murder of the Russian Ambassador in Ankara, Andrey Karlov in December 2016, reports on Thursday, the Anadolu news Agency.

It is noted that according to investigators, the detainee was “curator” of the killer, Charles of the opposition Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen (FETO), which the Turkish authorities lay the responsibility for this crime. Gulen himself denies the accusations.
Charles was shot dead on 19 December 2016 at the opening in Ankara of the photo exhibition “Russia from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka through the eyes of a traveler.” According to Turkish authorities, the attack was made by the police officer mevlüt Altıntaş, he was eliminated by the security forces. Charles was posthumously awarded the title Hero of Russia.
Only the murder of Charles arrested seven people, three of whom are former police officers.
