At the kÅfuku-JI temple in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, held a rather weird funeral ceremony in which the priest and mourners mourned over a hundred robotic dog Aibo, manufactured by Sony in 1999-2006.
In 2014, the company ceased to offer support for older dogs, but because now they were useless.
