TEL AVIV, November 5 — RIA Novosti. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the resignation of his Lebanese counterpart Saad Hariri signal to the international community about the need to take action against “Iranian aggression” in the middle East.
Announcing resignation from his post, Hariri said that he was preparing an attack, and accused Iran of seeking to take control of Lebanon and attempts to destabilize the Arab region.
“The resignation of the Prime Minister of Lebanon Hariri and his statement is a incentive message to the international community to take action against Iranian aggression,” Netanyahu was quoted by his press service.
“This aggression threatens not only Israel but the entire middle East. The international community should unite to confront it,” — said the head of government.
Israeli officials say that Iran has managed to establish itself in Lebanon with the help of them patronized the local Shiite movement Hezbollah and is now trying to do the same in Syria, where its forces are fighting on the side of President Bashar al-Assad.
