The U.S. government systematically rejects requests of Moscow for visit and inspection of closed cottages the Russian diplomats in new York. About this at the meeting of the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly said senior Counsellor, permanent mission to the UN Maxim Musikhin, reports RIA Novosti.
He explained that the state Department decided that access to this object is possible only with the written consent of the office of foreign missions, however, after 20 attempts to request such consent of the American foreign Ministry refused without explanation. Musikhin called such a position a “blatant abuse” aimed at worsening relations with Russia.
In December 2016, the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama decided to send 35 Russian diplomats and close access to diplomatic dachas in the States of Maryland and new York. July 28, the Russian foreign Ministry has banned employees of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow to use warehouse space on the Road outside, and a cottage in the Silver forest.
In addition, the Agency called for September 1 to reduce the total number of staff employed in diplomatic missions of the United States in the country, to 455. This figure corresponds to the number of Russian diplomats and employees of technical personnel in the United States.
