Antonov was established in 2005 to combine existing since 1989, the same state-owned enterprises with the production cooperation of the Kyiv Antonov design Bureau. The company has created An-124 “Ruslan” and An-225 “Mriya”.
An-124 “Ruslan” is a long range heavy military transport aircraft with a load capacity up to 120 tons. The first flight was made in 1982, the series was produced in Ulyanovsk between 1984 and 2004. Just released 55 machines, of which the disposal of the Russian air force is 26 (in flying condition — about 10). 24 cars are owned by commercial airlines, including Russian “Volga-Dnepr” and Ukrainian “Antonov Airlines”.
