The court fined Navalny 300 thousand rubles

Opposition leader Alexei Navalny was fined 300 thousand rubles for violating the order of organizing the rally. This decision was made by Simonovsky court of Moscow, reports RIA Novosti.

Navalny was found guilty of committing an administrative offense provided by part 8 of article 20.2 of the administrative code of Russia (“the Repeated violation of order of organizing the rally”).

As recorded in the administrative record Bulk on 8 and 9 July in Moscow, organized by citizens who distributed leaflets on the streets.

Earlier the head of the election headquarters of Bulk Leonid Volkov was fined 300 thousand rubles. He was convicted of re-holding of a mass event without prior notice. The court ruled that wolves “using campaign material organized a latent form of the public event” — distribution of leaflets in support of Navalny was seen as “a hidden form of collective public events”.

The court also fined under the same article of the colleague Navalny, a leader of the Moscow branch of the unregistered Party of progress Nikolai Laskin. The amount of the fine amounted to 250 thousand rubles.
