Russian national team on swimming has won in the mixed medley relay 4 x 50 meters at the world Cup in Moscow. On Wednesday, August 2, reports TASS.
The team, advocated by Vladimir Morozov, Kirill prigoda, Svetlana Chimrova and Veronika Popova, overcame the distance in 1 minute 39,10 seconds. Athletes took turns sailing in different styles: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle. Second finished the team of Poland (1.40,79), third — team Germany (1.42,71).
The first stage of world Cup on swimming on short water is held in Moscow on 2 and 3 August.
Earlier on Wednesday it became known that the stage starred five-time world champion Yuliya Efimova.
At the world championship on water sports in Budapest, which ended on 30 July, the Russian team repeated its own record for number of medals won. The team won 25 medals (11 — gold), finishing third in the overall standings after China and the United States.
